For twenty five-plus years Fred has represented owners before the Department of Building Inspection, the Planning Department, the Planning Commission, the Board of Appeals, and the Board of Supervisors. Clients include individual property Owners, corporations, institutions, and management companies. He is equally at home as a
trouble-shooter for a small
distressed property or as a member of an Owner’s strategic team.As a general contractor beginning in 1981, he focused on multi-unit and commercial projects, providing renovation and TI services for residential buildings, retail stores, and hotels. In 1990, he sold his contracting business to focus his energies on work as a property specialist. Until 2006, Fred was also CFO for a local contracting firm.
His real property experience, beginning in 1982, has included the administration of residential and commercial properties in San Francisco, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and southern California. Under contract with bank trustees during the late ‘80s (read S&L collapse), he participated in preliminary planning and loan workout programs for commercial and multi-unit properties.
Fred began his education as an undergraduate at Washington and Lee University (‘72), and continued with studies in project management, small business, and accounting. He has augmented his property experience with curricula offered by the Institute of Real Estate Management and other trade organizations.
Fred has found great satisfaction bringing his experience, knowledge, and professional contacts to the service of property owners in San Francisco. By honing his capabilities as a property specialist, Fred has established a unique niche in the industry, and looks forward to the continuing opportunities and relationships which our City has to offer.
